My sister is Jean Wagstaff (nee Marshall) born April 1930 and she is the little girl on the far left of the picture on the front seated row. Her friend Josephine Gallagher is in the front row sitting on the ground between two boys. Jean now lives in Stirling.

Thought you might like this photo of my grandfather, Robert Ward (1902-1973), posing outside his old school, West Coats. It was taken on Robert's first trip back to Scotland in 1967, after living in Australia for 40 years. Apparently he had very fond memories of his time at West Coats.

My name is Alan Lawrence and I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. My sister, Norma and I have been working on our family history and we have traced our roots to Blantyre and Cambuslang. My mother was born in Cambuslang but immigrated to Canada in 1926 with her mother and sister. Sadly my grandfather passed away in 1926 and is buried in Westburn Cemetery. My aunt, Georgina Patrick is the wee girl on the right end of the first row. She was born in Auchintibber in 1916, and sometime before 1920 moved to Cambuslang. My guess is that she would be 6 or 7 years old in this picture. This picture was probably take between 1922 and 1926. She passed away in 1994. You are welcome to post this picture on your site.
