The Queen unveiled a plaque at the Forth Road Bridge in South Queensferry today (Friday) to mark the bridges 50th anniversary year. Despite rain, crowds of local people turned out to greet both her and the Duke of Edinburgh when they arrived at the bridges office block just before 11am. She was introduced to former soldiers of The Cameronians (Scottish Rifles), who formed a guard of honour when the Queen opened the bridge back in 1964.
